FIA Best Team of Officials Award 2025
In 2025, the Canadian Motorsports Response Team (CMRT) was recognized by the FIA as the Best Team of Officials, an international honour recognizing the professionalism, dedication and teamwork of our members.
Supporting approximately 115 days of racing each year across Canada, CMRT provides specialized rescue and safety services at events ranging from grassroots motorsport to the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix, Honda Indy Ontario and NitroRX. The award reflects the commitment of our entire team to training, innovation and delivering a consistently high standard of motorsport safety.
Founded in 2010, the Canadian Motorsports Response Team (CMRT) is a specialized team of experienced paramedics, firefighters and medical professionals dedicated to motorsport safety. From grassroots racing to some of Canada’s largest international motorsport events, CMRT brings specialized training, equipment and experience to the track—ready to respond when seconds matter.
Motorsport Fire/Rescue & Medical Services
CMRT provides specialized fire, rescue and medical services for motorsport events across Canada. Our experienced firefighters, paramedics and physicians work together to provide coordinated trackside response, including fire suppression, driver assessment and care, vehicle stabilization and extrication.
CMRT brings the people, equipment, training and experience required to support a safe racing environment.
