Motorsport Safety Training
CMRT supports the delivery of specialized training for the unique challenges faced by motorsport fire, rescue and medical personnel. A cornerstone of this training is the Race Track Safety Program (RTSP), an SFI-certified program managed by the International Council of Motorsport Sciences (ICMS). The program combines motorsport-specific knowledge with practical, hands-on training designed for personnel responsible for responding to incidents on track.Â
Â
Fire Rescue
The RTSP Fire Rescue Program uses hands-on training stations to develop skills specific to motorsport emergency response. Training includes fire suppression, driver extraction, emergency vehicle operations, hydraulic and non-hydraulic rescue tools, airway emergencies and rapid extrication techniques. The emphasis is not simply on conventional fire and rescue skills, but on applying them safely and effectively within the specialized environment of a racetrack.Â
Â
Jump Medic
The RTSP Jump Medic Program focuses on the immediate assessment and care of a driver following an on-track incident. Practical training includes helmet and head-and-neck restraint removal, spinal immobilization, airway and hemorrhage management, driver interaction and extraction from the confined environment of a race vehicle.Â
Â
Through practical training, realistic scenarios and collaboration with professionals from across the motorsport safety community, the program helps responders develop the specialized skills and common approach required when medical, fire and rescue operations come together trackside.

Motorsport Fire/Rescue & Medical Services
CMRT provides specialized fire, rescue and medical services for motorsport events, bringing experienced emergency professionals together in teams specifically trained for the racing environment. Our members include firefighters, paramedics, physicians and other healthcare professionals with experience in both emergency response and motorsport.
Â
Trackside incidents present challenges that differ significantly from conventional emergency response. Confined cockpits, advanced driver restraint systems, specialized vehicle construction, alternative fuels and electrical systems, and the need to operate safely within an active racing environment all require a coordinated and motorsport-specific approach.
Â
CMRT can provide trackside fire and rescue crews, jump medics, medical car personnel and in-field medical support, with services tailored to the needs and scale of each event. Our teams are equipped and trained for rapid fire suppression, driver protection, medical assessment and stabilization, vehicle stabilization, and driver extrication.
Â
Whether supporting a local racing program or a major international event, our approach remains the same: experienced people, specialized equipment and a coordinated response designed specifically for motorsport.
